Job summary

AgeCare West Williams is hiring a Dietary Aide to support resident meals, setup, serving and cleanup in a caring, home-like setting. The role reports to the Director or Dietary Manager and focuses on delivering a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications include a Food Handler's Certificate and experience in food service with seniors is preferred. The position is casual with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Experience in food service with seniors preferred.
• Must be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to lift and stand for long shifts.
• Second language is an asset.
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in set up and preparation for service of beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery after seating.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering and participate in special events.
