Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support the dietary needs of long-term care residents at AgeCare West Williams in Kitchener, Ontario. You will assist with setup, serving, and cleanup of meals, ensuring a pleasant dining experience in a welcoming setting.

You will report to the Director or Dietary Manager and help with training new staff, while complying with health and safety regulations. This casual, part-time role offers health benefits and a chance to make a meaningful impact

Qualifications

• Food Handler's Certificate is required.
• Preference will be given to individuals with experience in food service and working with seniors.
• Must be enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist in the setup and preparation for service of items such as beverages, salads, desserts, etc.
• Set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• Assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery after each seating.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining area.
• Assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new dietary staff.
