Job summary

Union Gospel Mission in Vancouver is seeking a Case Manager to support men and women facing hunger, homelessness and poverty. The role focuses on forming relationships, providing care, referrals and advocacy within the Hastings Facility community.

The position is temporary full-time (37.5 hours) with a starting wage range of $28.96–$31.64 per hour. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package, RRSP matching and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in social work or related post-secondary education preferred.
• 2-3 years of related work experience is required, with knowledge of poverty and addiction.
• Experience in community organization, foundation or ministry.
• Confidential handling of sensitive matters.
• Excellent English skills (verbal, reading and writing).
• Intermediate computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Model Christ in word and deed.
• 45% – Case Management and referrals to housing, services and supports.
• Assist tenants with goals, case plans, tenancy and life skills.
• Coordinate program activities and social engagement for tenants.
• Lead Bible studies and participate in staff meetings as needed.
