Job summary

Union Gospel Mission (Vancouver) is seeking a Part-time Case Manager for the Women’s Recovery program at Joanna Home. You will conduct intakes, assess needs, coordinate resources, and advocate for participants within a faith-based framework, fostering recovery and independent living.

The role includes coordinating with external partners, leading devotion sessions, and supporting participants toward housing and employment goals.

Qualifications

• Excellent English skills (verbal, writing, reading).
• 2-3 years of related work experience is required, with knowledge of issues related to poverty and addiction.
• Experience developing Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
• Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention trainings may be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Model Christ in word and deed.
• Assist participants in establishing goals, monitoring progress, and preparing a case plan for their next steps (housing, employment, addiction services, life skills, health, education or other case specific needs).
• Analyze, screen, interview, and process all intake applicants; be the first contact and orient new participants.
• Provide care, direct consultation and spiritual guidance; lead group sessions, devotions and Bible studies as required.
• Advocate for participants, connecting them with community resources and outside agencies.
