Job summary

Home Care Assistance is hiring PSWs for Community Client care in Midland. We offer shifts mornings to evenings and occasional overnights with possible future live-in opportunities.

We provide competitive pay starting at $25 based on experience and a benefits plan after 30+ hours per week. Responsibilities include providing personal care, cognitive/social/spiritual support, and crisis intervention, with a focus on clear communication with clients and families.

Qualifications

• DSW/PSW/SSW certification is required.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate is required.
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months is required.
• Driver's license and own insured vehicle are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Provide behavior support and crisis intervention
• Maintain open communication with client and their family
• Monitor care plan and document changes
• Respond to emergency situations
• All other duties as assigned

We have 3 PSW vacancy for Community Client in Midland area to provide care. Shifts may vary from mornings to evenings to overnights and every other weekend. Possible live in opportunity in future.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide personal care
• Drivers license and reliable car are mandatory for this position.
• Providingcognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Provide behaviorsupport and crisis intervention
• Maintaining open communication with client and their family
• Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• DSW/PSW/SSW certification is required
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
• CPI training is an asset**
• Drivers License and own insured vehicle is mandatory
• Satisfactory professional references
• Ability toaccurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
