Job summary

FIRST UNITED CHURCH COMMUNITY MINISTRY SOCIETY is seeking a casual, on-call Community Connections Coordinator to warmly greet visitors, maintain a safe environment, and coordinate with the Community Services Team.

Responsibilities include safety rounds, emergency response, documentation, and collaboration with staff and volunteers to connect community members with services while upholding dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Trauma-informed approach with diverse groups
• Proven ability to de-escalate challenging situations
• First Aid, CPR, and naloxone/Narcan administration training
• Criminal record check required for all positions

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and connect with community members at the front desk
• Ensure safety procedures and emergency readiness are followed
• Monitor building access and maintain secure environments
• Respond to health emergencies with first aid and CPR as needed
• Collaborate with Community Services team to coordinate support
• Maintain logs and incident reports; support light cleaning and harm reduction distribution
