Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Recreation, or related field.
• Significant experience in event planning and execution may substitute formal education.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee event timelines, venue setup, equipment, and floor plans.
• Lead on-site operations, supervise volunteers, ensure safety protocols.
• Plan and supervise Kids Corner on Sundays and support Broadcast/Sound teams.
• Manage Coffee Bar on occasion and coordinate with committees for community engagement.
• Represent Kamloops United Church at community events and partnerships.
• Evaluate events and propose improvements based on feedback.
• Coordinate permits, third-party vendors, catering, and contracts when needed.
• Develop volunteer programs and manage communications for events.
