Job summary

McGill Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking a part-time instructional designer to join the Faculty Development Office. You will create online courses from FacED content, adapt existing offerings, and troubleshoot course access with the FacED team.

You will build and configure course structures in MyCourses, manage badges and certificates, ensure links work, and assist with data from forms. This role supports English and French bilingual operations in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 2 years related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of audio/video or graphic software is required.
• Bilingual French and English.

Responsibilities

• Create online courses from content created by the FacED team.
• Adapt older versions of FacED’s online offerings (e.g., teaching Journey, Peer Coaching).
• Troubleshoot any online course related difficulties with the FacED team.
• Develop and configure course structure in MyCourses, including building the initial structure, entering required course information, and importing instructional content created in Rise 360.
• Create and manage badges, awards, certificates of completion and intelligent agents on MyCourses.
• Check that Course Merchant links work properly.
• Brainstorm solutions when there are difficulties in accessing a course.
• Compile completed Microsoft forms responses in online courses.
