Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Canada is seeking a Commercial & Pricing Manager, Industrial Projects, to lead pricing for multi-modal project opportunities across air, ocean, road, rail and inland services in a hybrid Canada-wide role based in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary or Vancouver.

Reporting to the Country Head, Industrial Projects Canada, you will analyse RFQs, develop cost models and commercial recommendations, negotiate with carriers, and collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement,

Qualifications

  • 5–15 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, transportation, procurement, commercial management, or project logistics.
  • Experience in multimodal transportation including air, ocean, road, rail, and project cargo solutions
  • Experience preparing RFQs, tenders, commercial proposals, or strategic pricing solutions
  • Project logistics, mining, energy, infrastructure, EPC, heavy lift, breakbulk, or industrial project experience is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Advanced Excel and analytical capabilities
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required

Responsibilities

  • Lead pricing development for industrial project and project cargo opportunities
  • Analyse RFQs, tenders, and customer requirements to build competitive commercial strategies
  • Prepare detailed cost models, business cases, profitability analyses, and commercial recommendations
  • Develop pricing structures that balance customer requirements, operational feasibility, and profitability objectives
  • Partner with operations, engineering, procurement, and sales teams to design practical and innovative logistics solutions
  • Source and negotiate rates with carriers, freight providers, heavy-haul operators, and specialized subcontractors
  • Build strong supplier relationships across Canada and internationally
  • Monitor industry trends and market developments to identify opportunities and risks
  • Coordinate pricing activities for large-scale industrial project bids and strategic customer opportunities
  • Manage bid timelines, pricing assumptions, and stakeholder input
  • Monitor pricing trends, win rates, and profitability performance
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Present logistics solutions and pricing strategies to internal and external stakeholders

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a highly motivated Commercial & Pricing Manager, Industrial Projects based in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, or Vancouver (Hybrid Work Environment), reporting to the Country Head, Industrial Projects Canada.

This role involves leading pricing development for industrial project and project cargo opportunities, collaborating with global Sales, Operations, Procurement, Engineering, and Project Logistics teams to build and price end-to-end logistics solutions involving air, ocean, road, rail, inland waterways, heavy haul transportation, and specialized project services.
