Job summary

Cowan Insurance Group in Canada is seeking a Commercial Account Representative to join the Programs Team. You will manage service on your book of business, renewals, and client relationships to maximize retention and uncover opportunities across all lines.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Programs and Broker Services, you will collaborate with the Sales Consultant and Commercial Account Assistant, handle Certificates of Insurance, endorsements, billing accuracy, and contribute to cross-sell

Qualifications

• RIBO license required.
• 2–3 years insurance experience preferred.
• Experience servicing commercial insurance accounts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
• CAIB or CIP designation (or working toward) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of service on assigned book of business.
• Manage renewal information gathering and ensure renewal applications are completed.
• Negotiate renewal and endorsement terms with carriers.
• Review new business and renewal policies for accuracy and completeness.
• Recommend coverage enhancements identified during renewal review.
• Handle day-to-day client and insurer requests.
