Job summary

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking an Account Manager to join our Personal Insurance Team in Brantford, Ontario. You will provide outstanding service to policyholders and insurance markets by servicing and maintaining the existing portfolio.

This role requires knowledge of personal policy coverages, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Hybrid work options are available and supported by our comprehensive benefits plan.

Qualifications

• Policyholder service experience or familiarity with personal insurance required.
• Knowledge of personal insurance coverages and products desired.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills essential.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong organization and time-management abilities.
• Familiarity with broker management systems (EPIC) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to policyholders via calls and emails with guidance and advice.
• Complete coverage reviews and provide recommendations to clients.
• Document client discussions in EPIC and follow labeling procedures.
• Maintain files and adhere to customer service standards.
• Take a client-centric consultative approach to provide value-added solutions.
• Contribute to sales goals via account rounding and referrals while retaining clients.
