Job summary

Siemens Canada is seeking a Commercial Business Administrator to support period closing, reporting, budgeting, and data management within the Digital Industries team. This role provides support to the Finance Operations Manager and teams handling Customer Services processes and audits.

The ideal candidate has a Accounting/Finance background with SAP experience, strong data handling skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years experience in Finance or Operations or Admin.
  • Knowledge of SAP and General ledger and proficient in handling data.
  • Ability to learn new tools and data management.
  • Communication skills and team oriented.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure.
  • High level of self-motivation, pro-activeness, and independent way of working.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various period-end closing activities, expense reporting, journal entry preparation, internal financial reporting by cost center, general ledger reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned.
  • Support the upload, maintenance, and finalization of forecasts and budgets for CS within forecasting tools.
  • Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and rules of engagement with the Service Coordination, Project Coordination, and Training teams.
  • Manage frontline invoicing and customer billing in SAP, including the timely upload of invoices to customer portals.
  • Process daily transactions related to the Training Business, including order booking, invoicing, customer billing, and purchase order creation for other Siemens entities.
  • Coordinate closely with Service Coordinators and Project Coordinators on service orders to ensure accurate milestone billing, timely invoicing, cost transfers, and revenue recognition in SAP.
  • Facilitate smooth order processing through the creation and maintenance of customer master records in SAP.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Control and Service Coordination teams to resolve billing and invoicing disputes and support timely cash collection.
  • Prepare accurate and timely files for monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) reviews led by the Finance Operations Manager.
  • Perform monthly SAP order closures (TECO) once work has been completed.
  • Create purchase orders for third-party vendors and other Siemens entities to support various business units, and ensure timely Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GR/IR) processing.

What will you do?

Our business is growing, and we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Digital Industries team! As the Commercial Business Administrator, you will be responsible for period closing and reporting, support the Budgeting and Forecasting process, business administration and data management.
