Job summary

Calmont Truck Centre in Edmonton, AB is seeking an Entry Level Collections Clerk to join our accounting team. You will verify and post accounts receivable transactions and actively manage collection activities across portfolios, building strong customer relations.

The role offers an opportunity to develop experience in AR, collections calls, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports in a fast-paced environment at a well-established Canadian group.

Qualifications

• Prior credit and collections experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in an Accounting/Administrative capacity.
• Energetic and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior knowledge of CDK and collections experience are considered an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail with the drive to meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Verify and post accounts receivable transactions to journals and ledgers.
• Manage collection activities across assigned portfolios.
• Collect payments for assigned accounts receivable portfolios.
• Make and document collection calls on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile assigned accounts, investigate discrepancies, and manage month end adjustments.
• Manage the customer statement process, send invoices to customers and follow up with customer requests.
• Prepare various AR reports as required.
• Complete other administrative or accounting duties as needed.
