Job summary

Calmont Equipment in Edmonton is seeking a Parts Counter Associate for Bobcat of Edmonton, AB. You will manage and dispense parts inventories and assist customers with product recommendations.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries, processing orders, and performing regular inventory counts in a fast-paced environment. CDK experience and strong MS Word/Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Licensed Journeyman preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related industry experience.
• Dealership experience is an asset.
• CDK experience is required.
• Knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel.
• Strong customer service, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload.
• Team mentality and attention to detail.

As a Parts Counter Associate, you will manage and dispense parts inventories. Other job duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Handling incoming parts inquiries from internal and external customers via phone, email or in person.
• Determining customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
• Recommending alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
• Increasing sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on-sales and offering promotional sale items.
• Accurately processing customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
• Maintaining accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers.
• Performing weekly cycle counts as well as monthly and yearly inventory counts.
• Apply core standards to returns; classify cores according to vendor programs.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Licensed Journeyman preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related industry experience.
• Dealership Experience is an asset.
• Previous CDK experience is required.
• Knowledge and experience with MS Word and Excel.
• Strong customer service, troubleshooting and communication skills, with experience analyzing and resolving customer service and client issues.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and organize workload.
• Team mentality required.
• Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
