Responsibilities include loading/unloading coils, tagging and routing coils, operating forklifts and cranes, and participating in Lean improvements. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
• Good information retrieval, documentation, and basic computer skills.
• Experience in a stamping environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload coil trucks.
• Receive and tag coils and forward to Coil Bay.
• Load and unload dies as required.
• Supply Coil Bay with materials as needed.
• Remove finished goods from each specified area.
• Stack and arrange product in a safe, orderly manner.
• Perform daily safety checks on forklift and maintain proper operation.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects (Lean).
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and equipment.
• Abide by all Company policies including Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, HR policies, and Employee Handbook.

Location: Tillsonburg, ON

Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division of Cleveland Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Coil Operator in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Coil Operator is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Coil experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Load and unload coil trucks
• Receive and tag coil when necessary and forward to appropriate location in Coil Bay
• Load and unload dies as required
• Supply Coil Bay with materials neede
• Remove finished goods from each specified area
• Stack and arrange product in safe, orderly manner within the warehouse
• Perform daily safety checks on forklift and maintain proper operation
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Participates in continuous improvement projects (Lean)
• Responsible to manage the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and equipment
• Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to find information, document relevant information and knowledge of computers
• Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a stamping environment

The pay range for this role is 28/hour to 32/hour.
