Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Fleetwood Metal Industries in Tillsonburg, Ontario is seeking a Coil Operator to move materials and support stamping operations. The role requires experience with coil handling, forklift and overhead crane, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and safety in mind.

The successful candidate will load/unload coils, assist with dies, maintain clean work areas, and participate in continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks.
• Ability to find information, document relevant information and knowledge of computers.
• Ability to retain information and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload coil trucks.
• Receive and tag coil when necessary and forward to appropriate location in Coil Bay.
• Load and unload dies as required.
• Supply Coil Bay with materials needed.
• Remove finished goods from each specified area.
• Stack and arrange product in safe, orderly manner within the warehouse.
• Perform daily safety checks on forklift and maintain proper operation.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Participates in continuous improvement projects (Lean).
• Responsible to manage the cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and equipment.
• Abide by all Company policies including Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook.

Fleetwood Metal Industries, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Coil Operator in our Tillsonburg, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Coil Operator is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Coil experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. The pay range for this role is $28/hour to $32/hour.
