Job summary

Baker Tilly Victoria Ltd. is hiring a New Graduate/Co-Op Staff Accountant to join our Uptown, Westshore, and Sidney offices. You will prepare T1, T3, T4/T5, and T2 returns, file electronically, and support the team with administrative tasks in a collaborative environment.

The role targets second or third-year business students with strong organizational and communication skills, proficient in Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, and able to work in a team under pressure.

Qualifications

• Second or third-year business student pursuing a public practice accounting track.
• Strong organization and time management skills are required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare T1 personal tax returns, T3 trust returns, T4/T5 slips, and T2 corporate returns.
• Print and electronically file various tax returns.
• Assist with ad-hoc and administrative duties as required.

Your role:

• Preparing T1 (personal income tax) returns, T3 (trust) returns, T4/T5 summaries and slips, T2 (corporate) returns
• Printing and electronic filing of various tax returns
• Other ad-hoc and administrative duties as required

What you bring to the table:

• Second or third-year business student interested in exploring a future career in public practice accounting
• Great organization and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer and technology competent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Ability to excel in a high-pressure working environment
• Experience or desire to work in a team-based environment

Where you’ll work:

We are currently hiring for our offices in Uptown, Westshore and Sidney

Job type:

Full time, temporary (January 18, 2027 - April 30th, 2027)

Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch. In March and April, hours switch to 8:00am - 5:00pm. Overtime is required during peak times.

Wage: $24.62/hour
