Job summary

Wajax is seeking a cooperative-education Helpdesk Support role in Alberta, Canada. The position focuses on timely handling of hardware, software, networking, and device issues for local and remote users, with both phone and on-site assistance.

You’ll configure workstations, maintain systems, and assist with prints while aligning with IT policies and ongoing site improvements. The candidate should be enrolled in a post-secondary program and possess a Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent IT

Qualifications

Enrolled in a post-secondary program and available for a co-op placement.
Knowledge of desktop OS (Windows 7/8/10) and basic IT concepts.
Bilingual English/French is a definite asset.

Responsibilities

Answer, evaluate, and prioritize helpdesk requests for hardware, software, networking, and related tech issues.
Provide phone and in-person support to local and remote site end users; track issues to ensure timely resolution.
Provide printing support for all sites and configure workstations for remote sites.
Maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware/software; manage incidents and requests.
Coordinate workloads, work with suppliers, and participate in after-hours on-call rotation.
Adhere to IT policies and support organizational change.
