Job summary

Hootsuite Inc. is seeking a Co-op, IT Operations for Vancouver, BC. The 4‑month on-site role supports the Helpdesk queue, deploys laptops and peripherals, and resolves both small and large technology issues with close supervision.

You’ll work with the Global IT team to execute IT projects, set up and troubleshoot hardware including Google Meet gear, document procedures, and ensure end-user satisfaction during and after incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting Mac problems.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows OS problems and Dell laptops.
• Experience working with meeting room hardware and AV gear to support meetings.
• Proven ability to translate technical issues for end-users.
• Willingness to learn new systems and vendors as needed.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Support the build and deployment of laptops for new users and end users as needed.
• Assist in closing of MacBook leases by configuring, wiping, and recording data.
• Set up, install, modify, configure, and maintain desk hardware in the office.
• Update hardware assets in the asset management system as per Helpdesk processes.
• Collaborate with Global Helpdesk team to identify and resolve issues following processes.
• Document procedures and solutions in the ticketing system and follow up with clients for full resolution.
• Set up and troubleshoot Google Meet Hardware in the office.
• Assist in setting up loaner laptops for AV gear for interviews or events.
• Keep team documentation updated as processes evolve.
• Participate in IT departmental projects requiring time and resources.
• Create tickets and move tasks through agile workflow.
