Job summary

Kubik in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking an experienced CNC programmer to join our woodshop team. You will read fabrication drawings, program CNC routers, optimize materials, and support production to meet client needs.

This role emphasizes developing, implementing, and optimizing CNC programs for new materials and nesting configurations. With 5+ years in AutoCAD/CNC programming, mastery of MasterCAM, MS Office, and knowledge of Biesse software, you will contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in AutoCAD/CNC programming and setup, preferably in a woodwork/millwork shop.
  • Cabinetmaking experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Biesse software and MasterCAM/MS Office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Program parts for CNC machines by reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
  • Analyze drawings and determine machining methods, materials, and setups.
  • Translate 2D/3D drawings into machine-readable programs for CNC routers, including material requirements.
  • Support daily production to meet client needs.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for new materials.
  • Program nesting configurations to optimize material use.
  • Create prototypes, samples, and templates.

What You'll Do:

  • Program parts for CNC machines by reading and interpreting approved fabrication drawings.
  • Analyze drawings and sketches to determine machining methods, materials, and setups.
  • Translate 2D or 3D drawings into machine-readable programs for CNC routers, including material requirements.
  • Support daily production to ensure client needs are met.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize CNC programs for new materials.
  • Program nesting configurations to optimize material use.
  • Create prototypes, samples, and templates.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in AutoCAD/CNC programming and setup, preferably in a woodwork/millwork shop.
  • Cabinetmaking experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Biesse software is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MasterCAM and MS Office.
  • Comfortable using both basic and advanced measuring equipment.

Hours of work are 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM with opportunities for overtime.
This is a full-time position working 44+ hours per week.
