Job summary

F/LIST CANADA in Laval, QC is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. You will program 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines, optimize nesting, and create production documents for CNC operators.

The role calls for WoodWOP experience, AutoCAD drafting, and the ability to read blueprints with strong spatial understanding. The ideal candidate is bilingual (French/English), organized, and proactively solves problems, adapting to changing production priorities while contributing to high-quality

Qualifications

• College diploma or DEP in cabinetmaking with CNC programming courses or equivalent.
• Strong cabinetmaking and furniture production knowledge.
• Proficient with WoodWOP (HOMAG) and able to read technical drawings.
• Experience programming 3-axis CNC machines; nesting experience preferred.
• 5-axis CNC programming is a plus; fluent in English and French (spoken & written).

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machine tools according to drawings.
• Determine optimal programming for required machining sequences.
• Create production documents for CNC operators.
• Organize and update files and programs.
• Ensure programs meet product requirements and proper tool use.
• Verify dimensions on drawings and propose machining method improvements.
• Validate programming during production and communicate with head office.

As part of our team you will...

• Program CNC machine tools according to the provided drawings
• Determine the optimal programming for the required machining sequences
• Create production documents for CNC operators
• Organize and update files and programs
• Ensure that programs comply with the requirements of the products to be machined
• Ensure the proper use of tools to optimize operations
• Verify that dimensions on technical drawings are accurate
• Propose changes to machining methods
• Verify and validate programming during production

You're a good fit if you....

• Possess a college diploma, or DEP in cabinetmaking, including courses in CNC machining programming, or any combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
• Have a strong understanding of cabinetmaking and furniture manufacturing processes
• Demonstrate proficiency with WoodWOP (HOMAG) software.
• Have experience programming 3-axis CNC machines, including nesting applications
• Have experience with 5-axis CNC programming (considered an asset)
• Possess working knowledge of AutoCAD drafting software
• Can read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints with a strong understanding of spatial concepts
• Are highly organized and methodical, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and last-minute requests
• Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and strong problem-solving skills
• Can perform calculations accurately and efficiently
• Are Bilingual—French/English (spoken/written) - Written and verbal communication skills in English are required, as this role involves regular communication with our head office in Austria
