Job summary

Katch Kan is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team in Canada. The role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce precision components per drawings and specs.

You will collaborate with Production, Operations, and R&D to support production, product development, and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates hold a 2-year CNC diploma and have hands-on CNC programming and machining experience, with asset in oil and gas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year diploma in CNC machinist/programming or related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CN programming and machining.
• Oil and gas experience an asset.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and specifications to determine machining requirements for Katch Kan components.
• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to produce accurate parts according to required dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines and other shop equipment to complete production and custom machining work.
• Measure and inspect completed parts to verify dimensional accuracy and ensure they meet drawing and quality requirements.
• Work closely with Operations and Production to prioritize jobs, establish timelines, and meet production requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D during product development and prototyping, providing input on machining, manufacturability, materials, and installation.
• Support prototype and new product development through CNC machining and, where applicable, 3D printing.
• Troubleshoot programming, machining, tooling, and equipment issues and make adjustments.

Position Introduction:

Position Title - CNC Programmer

The CNC Programmer will work closely with the Production, Operations, and R&D teams to support production requirements, product development, and continuous improvement.

Recommended Education & Experience

Job Hazards

• Daily commuting to and from work.
