Job summary

Fitness World is seeking an Operations Manager at our Burnaby location to lead day-to-day club operations including Front Desk, childminding, member retention and retail. You will work with the General Manager and Head Office to ensure smooth operation and a positive member experience.

The role requires 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, strong organizational skills, and a flexible schedule. Competitive base plus over $10k in annual bonus potential, total package $50k–$60k, in Burnaby, BC.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory or team-lead experience in a high-traffic environment.
• Proven ability to recruit, train and develop frontline staff.
• Experience with scheduling, onboarding, and administrative processes.
• Strong communication with team and cross-functional partners.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Certifications and clearances for childminding or willingness to obtain them.
• Retail or inventory management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Member Service Representative (MSR) team; maintain staff logs and document meetings for progress.
• Handle all administrative tasks: new hires, changes, separations, onboarding, scheduling, incident reporting.
• Promote a friendly, fitness-focused environment reflecting Fitness World values.
• Document and suggest process improvements as the company grows.
• Maintain knowledge of monthly promotions and membership/PT products.
• Collaborate with Sales, Fitness and Maintenance to align club operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
