Manulife Bank Technology Team is reimagining digital banking in Canada with modern cloud technologies and AI-assisted engineering. You will design, build, and support APIs, integration services, and cloud-native platforms powering digital banking experiences.

As part of an agile team, you will collaborate with engineers, product partners, cybersecurity, and operations to deliver secure, resilient solutions.

Qualifications

• Three years of software development in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks.
• Understanding REST APIs, microservices, and distributed design.
• Experience with relational/NoSQL databases and data integration.
• Cloud, containerization, or cloud-native development familiarity.
• Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical partners.
• Experience in Agile or iterative software delivery.
• Commitment to continuous learning and high-quality engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support modern applications and platform services.
• Build and maintain APIs, integration services, event-driven capabilities, and reusable components.
• Write clean, secure, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, architects, cybersecurity, and partners.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and estimations.
• Contribute to design discussions and architecture reviews with seniors.
• Support production releases, readiness activities, and platform health.
• Investigate and resolve issues, improving reliability and security.
• Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Advance automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and DevSecOps practices.
