Job summary

Manulife is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and enhance Virtual Assistant and conversational AI solutions that improve customer servicing experiences. You will build scalable applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, REST services, and microservices, and create responsive user interfaces with React.

You will deploy cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers and engineering teams to deliver digital solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using C# and .NET technologies.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience designing and implementing applications on Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with SQL Server, Azure SQL, or related database technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar tools.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance Virtual Assistant and conversational AI solutions supporting customer servicing experiences.
• Develop scalable applications and APIs using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, REST services, and microservices architecture.
• Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies such as React.
• Design and deploy cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and engineering teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevSecOps practices, and application monitoring.
• Produce technical documentation, integration specifications, and solution designs while contributing to engineering best practices.
