In the Cloud Endpoint Technical Specialist role, you’ll be enabling a secure, compliant, and efficient Cloud PC experience for customers, ensuring they can enable their end users to access their personalized Windows environment on any device. With a focus on Cloud PC management through Intune, you will streamline deployment and maintenance, while staying abreast of the latest virtualization technologies, including GPU-enabled Cloud PCs for high-performance needs. Your expertise as a sales engineer will foster seamless collaboration and productivity, as you work across various internal and external groups to support customers in their end user computing transition.

Join our Modern Work Team as a Cloud Endpoint Technical Specialist and help our enterprise customers modernize their endpoints, embrace a Zero Trust security model, leverage cutting-edge virtualization technology, and embrace the future of Windows. As a pre-sales technical specialist, your primary goal is to establish confidence and win our customers’ trust to use M365 Solutions, which comprise Windows endpoints (physical or virtual) managed by Modern IT using Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure AD, and through ‘as-a-service’ model technologies. You will partner closely with the field sales solution specialists to understand our customers’ business challenges, determine the necessary technology strategy, and remove technical blockers enabling digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain advanced technical expertise in Microsoft products and differentiators in assigned Solutions Plays (including Windows 11, Windows 365, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Azure Active Directory, Azure Virtual Desktop, Entra ID, Surface, and managed service solutions such as AutoPatch).
  • Act as a trusted advisor and technical seller, developing advanced delivery, discovery, demo, and whiteboarding skills.
  • Understand Microsoft product strengths and competitive weaknesses to unblock blockers and win technical decisions.
  • Deeply understand customer business to differentiate Microsoft, share insights, reframe the status quo, and quantify business impact to motivate action.
  • Engage with partners in sell-with scenarios, collaborating on technical engagement activities and sharing trusted knowledge.
  • Support virtualization conversations with BDM and ITDM, sharing best practices and competitor knowledge as a subject matter expert.
  • Support the culture and values of Microsoft.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience, or
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field + 4+ years experience, or
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field + 3+ years experience, or
  • Equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years in technical pre-sales, consulting, or technology delivery.
  • 4+ years with cloud/hybrid/on-premises infrastructure, migrations, or management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect, Security).

Technology Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range across Canada is CAD $91,000 - CAD $168,400 per year. Find additional pay information here.
