Job summary

ParaMed in Canada is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee RNs and RPNs delivering community-based care. You will assess, implement and evaluate a range of clinical interventions to ensure safe, high-quality, ethical care.

You will lead regular huddles, mentor staff, manage clinical documentation, and investigate patient safety incidents while collaborating with the nursing team to meet funder reporting guidelines.

Qualifications

• RN registration with College of Nurses of Ontario or equivalent
• Experience leading and mentoring nursing staff in community/home health settings
• Understanding of community nursing practice and funder reporting requirements

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support RNs and RPNs to ensure practices comply with legislated standards and company policies
• Respond to and resolve concerns from staff, patients, families and fellow team members
• Provide ongoing leadership through regular huddles, meetings and one-on-ones
• Initiate patient safety incident investigations and ensure timelines and action plans are met
• Collaborate with nursing team on clinical documentation and funder reporting guidelines
• Engage patients and staff in problem solving, health teaching and relationship-building
• Maintain knowledge to provide safe, efficient, effective service and stay current with practice changes
