Job summary

Baycrest Long-Term Care invites applications for a Manager, Clinical position within the Apotex Centre. The role provides leadership across the Apotex 6 LTC neighbourhoods, focusing on safe, high-quality, resident-centred care, regulatory compliance, and fiscal stewardship.

Reporting to the Director, Resident Care and Experience, you will drive quality improvement, staff development, and interprofessional collaboration while ensuring excellent resident and family experiences.

Qualifications

• BScN Degree is preferred.
• Masters' Degree in Health Discipline preferred.
• Current certificate of competence from a regulatory college.
• Membership with Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario, if applicable.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS) - Level C required.
• Certificate in Gerontological nursing preferred.
• Two (2) years supervisory experience in a LTCH setting preferred, including labour and employee relations experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides a visible, accessible leadership presence within the neighbourhoods and fosters relationships with residents, families, physicians, and staff.
• Oversees day-to-day clinical and operational activities to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Ensures compliance with the LTCH act, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives and implements Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs).
• Collaborates to advance professional practice, resident safety, and operational objectives.
• Manages recruitment, performance management, and staff development.
