Job summary

Suncrest College in Canada seeks a Practical Nursing Instructor to lead instruction of the Practical Nursing program and supervise students during clinical experiences in health care facilities.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Nursing (Master’s preferred) and be eligible for Saskatchewan RN registration, with at least two years of relevant clinical/teaching background. Competitive wages and benefits apply.

• Eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan RN College.
• Current TLR Certificate and accreditation compliance.

Job description

The successful Practical Nursing Instructor is primarily responsible for instruction of the Practical Nursing program , and clinical instruction/supervision of students in health care facilities.

Requirements:

• The minimum educational qualification for this position is a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field. A Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of two years recent clinical/teaching experience in the area of medical, surgical and pediatric or obstetrical nursing.
• Must be eligible for registration (active status) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan.
• Current TLR Certificate.
• Applicants must meet Saskatchewan Polytechnic accreditation requirements.
• Applicants must be in good standing with Saskatchewan Health Authority.
• Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
• Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver’s license
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required
