Job summary

Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited is seeking a hands-on Climbing Arborist to work in Colborne, Ontario. You will be in the canopy daily, performing pruning, removals, and installations with a focus on safety and quality.

You’ll handle equipment like chainsaws, chippers, and lifts, contribute to site setup, and follow Davey safety policies. A minimum of one year climbing experience and a valid driver’s license are required or willingness to obtain certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of climbing experience.
• Certified Arborist or willingness to work towards certification.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Valid provincial driver’s license; 5-ton license and Airbrake endorsement considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood in.tree canopies at various heights.
• Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws and lifts.
• Assist in job site setup, debris removal and cleanup.
• Abide by Davey safety policies and procedures.
