Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada is seeking a skilled arborist for full-time, year-round outdoor work in Pickering, Ontario. You will join a safety-focused crew, perform pruning and removal tasks, and operate chainsaws and aerial lifts while supporting ground staff on diverse client sites.

Qualifications

• Valid Utility Tree Trimmer/Certified Utility Arborist ticket.
• Minimum 3 years pruning/removals from rope, saddle, and aerial lift.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Advanced chainsaw and chipper operation.
• Strong tree and shrub identification skills.
• Valid provincial driver’s license; 5-ton license and air brake endorsement preferred.
• Willingness to learn and work safely in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert level tree trimming services and inspections to client properties.
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.
• Responsible for climbing, pruning, and removing trees as per work specifications.
• Perform required general maintenance and daily inspection of equipment.
• Removal or trimming of trees and brush encroaching onto utility or transportation rights of ways.
• Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Manage customer service expectations, safely lead jobsite and crew operations.
• Abide by Davey and industry safety policies and procedures.
