Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to support CAF members and their families by handling merchandise, pricing, and display setup in a store environment.

You will verify deliveries, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure proper tagging and POS processing while working as part of a cohesive team in a on-site civilian role at CF canex locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipping and receiving, warehousing and pricing of merchandise.
• Stocking shelves and building product displays.
• Construction of merchandise displays and lighting of stores.
• Experience operating a forklift or driving vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage all incoming and outgoing merchandise including verification and documentation.
• Create price tags from purchase orders and ensure proper pricing in POS system.
• Load/unload shipments, prepare transfers, and organize delivery timing.
• Set up displays, fill customer orders, and assist with store needs.

THE ROLE

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you help support the provision of retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and in assisting them, you are helping your community. You manage all incoming and outgoing merchandise in the store, verifying the number and condition of deliveries, completing documentation, and ensuring it is properly tracked in the point of sale system. You create price tags from purchase orders and conduct verification checks to ensure proper pricing and inventory.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk, loads and unloads merchandise, packs and unpacks merchandise, assembles and disassembles merchandise, as well as sets up displays and signage. You prepare transfers for outgoing merchandise, ensure merchandise is logged prior to sending for repairs, and organize time of delivery of customer products. You may order store supplies and merchandise and fill customer orders.
