Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee the cleaning and services of an assigned area within the budget to maintain company and customer quality standards.

Reporting to the Manager, you will assign daily tasks, inspect performance, train staff, and ensure health and safety procedures are followed. This role may require compliance with a reliability security clearance and familiarity with vendor partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' cleaning and supervisory experience in a large facility.
• Experience working in a unionized environment and guidance under a Collective Agreement.
• Flexibility for start/end times; weekend/holiday work required.
• Criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Control budgeted hours for the assigned location.
• Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to employees.
• Inspect performance to ensure standards are met.
• Assist with site training of new cleaning personnel.
• Train and implement Health & Safety procedures; ensure PPE is used.
• Maintain timekeeping records for staff.
• Respond to customer requests and follow up; ensure inventory control.
• Supervise strip and wax crew; experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a reliability security clearance.
• Knowledge of preferred vendors (e.g., Ecolab, Tennant) is an asset.
