Job summary

Dexterra Group is seeking a light-duty Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of our facilities across Canada. You will perform floor care, sanitization of washrooms and common areas, and replenish supplies to ensure a safe, clean environment for clients and staff.

Work with a team to meet high standards, follow safety guidelines, and contribute to a positive workplace. Prior floor care experience and ability to lift up to 25 lbs are assets; WHMIS certification is preferred or training can be

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care including scrubbing, buffing or polishing is desired.
• Knowledge of stripping and waxing floors is an asset.
• Ability to communicate with supervisor, client and general public.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic required.
• Lifting up to 25 lbs is expected.
• WHMIS certification is preferred (training can be provided).
• A clear criminal background check is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the floors; vacuuming as needed and damp mopping small areas of hard surface floors
• Cleaning and sanitizing that includes washrooms, common and entrance areas
• Replenishing any used or missing supplies (toilet rolls, hand towels, hand soap)
• Dusting office cubicles
• Cleaning and polishing chrome and other polished metal surfaces
• Spot cleaning walls, partitions, light switches and doors, window sills
