Job summary

CLV Group's Property Management team in Ottawa's west end is seeking a full-time Cleaner for our Crystal Beach Community. This hands-on role focuses on creating clean, safe and welcoming living environments for residents.

You will perform routine cleaning, sanitize bathrooms and common areas, handle waste disposal, and assist with occasional deep cleaning and winter snow removal. A valid G driver's license and own vehicle are required; basic English is needed.

Qualifications

• Friendly, respectful, and community minded with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid, class G driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Previous cleaning experience is an asset but not required.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Able to perform repetitive physical tasks including bending, lifting and walking for extended periods.
• Basic English verbal communication skills are required.
• Able to provide professional references and maintain reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas to maintain high hygiene standards.
• Empty garbage and dispose waste safely.
• Occasionally perform deep cleaning (baseboards, appliances, floors).
• Respond to cleaning work orders from property management.
• Occasionally assist with snow removal in winter months.
• Conduct daily inspections of common areas and report maintenance issues.
• Follow safety protocols and use required PPE.

Job description

Our Property Management team is seeking a full-time Cleaner to join our operations team at our Crystal Beach Community in Ottawa's west end. This hands-on role is ideal for a dependable cleaning professional with a customer-first mindset who takes pride in creating and maintaining clean, safe and welcoming living environments for our residents.

Compensation

• $18 - $20 per hour.
• Three weeks of paid vacation, starting on day 1 of employment.
• Participation in our annual bonus program.

Responsibilities

In addition to the responsibilities typically expected of a cleaning professional, responsibilities will include:

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, laundry rooms, and common areas to ensure high hygiene standards.
• Empty garbage and ensure that waste is disposed of safely and properly.
• Perform occasional deep cleaning including scrubbing baseboards, cleaning appliances, and refinishing floors.
• Respond to any cleaning work orders submitted by the property management team.
• Occasionally engage in snow removal during winter months.
• Perform daily inspections of common areas and report any maintenance issues to the property operations team.
• Follow all safety protocols and use all assigned personal protective equipment appropriately.

Additional Information

• Work will be completed on-site at our Crystal Beach community at 1 Ullsway Drive, Ottawa.
• All successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal record check (CRC) as a condition of employment.
• Ability to respond to emergencies during regular operating hours.
• Participation in an after-hours rotational emergency response team may be required.
