Job summary

Boardwalk is seeking an experienced Cleaner to maintain clean and sanitized communities in Victoria, BC. If you are detail oriented, enjoy working independently while contributing to a team, this role is for you!

We have two openings: one full-time permanent and one full-time contract (1 year). Responsibilities include cleaning common areas, vacant suites, and supporting maintenance tasks while ensuring residents’ health, comfort, and safety.

Qualifications

• 2 years cleaning experience required.
• Working knowledge of English (verbal and written).
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Clean building entrances, elevators, offices, halls, stairwells, laundry rooms, garbage rooms, amenity rooms, and other common areas.
• Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of our Resident Members.
• Clean vacant suites and complete suite touch-ups.
• Interior and exterior garbage pick-up.
• Assist with snow removal and touch-up painting as required.
• Ensure proper and accurate inventory management.
• Ensure all equipment is working and being maintained properly.
• Complete other tasks and assist other sites as required.

Experience And Educational Requirements

Technical Requirements

• Working knowledge of English both verbal and written
• Familiarity with technology is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements

• Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
• Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and enthusiasm

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Own reliable vehicle
