Emterra Group in Canada is seeking a Class 3 Driver to safely operate a right-hand-drive Class 3 truck, collect residential recycling, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections. The role involves manual loading, frequent entry and exit from the vehicle, and daily physical labor while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

The successful candidate will have a Class 3 license with air brakes, a clean driving record, and at least 2 years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Class 3 license with air brake endorsement.
• Clean driving record; provide abstract with resume.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience with the required license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Overtime availability as needed.
• Strong English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Experience in waste/recycling industry preferred (asset).

Responsibilities

• Safe and efficient operation of a Class 3 motor vehicle (with air brakes).
• Conduct all activities according to the collection schedule.
• Perform curbside recycling collection meeting/exceeding contract requirements.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete related documentation.
• Communicate with supervisor regarding concerns or suggestions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Class 3 Driver will safely operate a Class 3 vehicle with air brakes to collect residential recycling, perform pre-and post-trip inspections, deliver materials to the processing facility, and provideprofessional service to customers.

Thisroleoperatesa right-hand-drive Class 3 recycling truck. Thedriveris required to manually load recyclables by emptying residential recycling bins into one of three side-loader compartments. Theposition requires frequent entry andexit from the vehicle at each stop and involves consistent physical labor throughout the day. The successful candidate must be comfortable with manual handling and working in a physically demanding environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and service.

Position Description

• Safe and efficient operation of a Class 3 motor vehicle (with air brakes);
• Conduct all activities according to the collection schedule;
• Perform curbsider recycling collection in a manner that meets or exceeds contract requirements;
• Conduct daily inspection of vehicle and accurately complete related documentation;
• Communicate with supervisor regarding concerns or suggestions; and
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Skills & Qualifications

• Requires Class 3 with air brake endorsement;
• Must have clean driver’s abstract; Must submit a current driver’s abstract with the resume.
• Minimum 2 years working experience driving with required license preferred;
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
• The ability to work overtime on an “as-needed” basis, is required;
• Good command of the English language (both verbal and written); and
• Experience in the waste and recycling industry or similar industry – an asset.
