American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver for our Sherbrooke location. This is a permanent, full-time day shift position (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm).

You will transport metals between customer sites and AIM facilities, perform pre-trip inspections, assist with loading, and ensure safety standards are followed at all times. Required: Class 1 licence with FM endorsement, a good driving record, and at least 2 years of Class 1 experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1 driver’s licence with FM endorsement.
• Have a good driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Class 1 truck driver.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to occupational health and safety.
• Be in good physical condition.
• Be reliable, dependable and punctual.
• Demonstrate proper care and respect for equipment and tools.

Responsabilités

• Assist with loading and unloading trailers.
• Follow all safety standards and regulations.

Job Description

Our team is currently looking for a Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team at our Sherbrooke location. We are looking for a candidate who can easily adapt to change and is ready to take on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport metals from various customer locations to AIM facilities and between AIM sites;
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections before hitting the road;
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers;
• Ensure that all safety standards and regulations established by law and the employer are followed at all times, without exception;
• Operate different types of heavy vehicles as required;
