Job summary

Canada Cartage Systems in Regina, SK is hiring a Class 1 Transport Truck Driver for a full-time permanent role. Language of work is English, and benefits include medical and dental with vision allowance.

You will operate a manual transmission truck, perform pre-trip inspections, manage cargo documentation, and coordinate loading/unloading while staying in contact with dispatch to report delays. Ideal candidates hold a valid Class 1/AZ license with at least 1 year of Class 1 driving, a 5-year

• Valid Class 1/AZ license is required.
• Provide 5 years Commercial driving abstract.
• Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Must be willing to load/unload and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to work flexible schedules.
• Must be bondable and legally entitled to work in Canada.
• CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN CANADA.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle safely and according to company safety regulations.
• Conducts pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in optimal condition.
• Manages cargo documentation and delivers required paperwork.
• Coordinates loading/unloading and secures cargo.
• Maintains contact with dispatcher for status updates and delays.
• Ensures on-time, safe and professional customer deliveries.

Job Duties

• Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to company safety regulations
• Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition
• Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods
• Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured
• Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport
• Ensure customer delivery is met in a timely, safe and professional manner

Skills and Requirements

• Possess a Valid Class 1/AZ License is required
