Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 1/AZ license and provide a clean driving record.
• Minimum 5 years of commercially licensed driving experience required.
• At least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission and handle heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the truck safely and in compliance with company safety rules.
• Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good condition.
• Maintain cargo documentation and provide paperwork at delivery.
• Coordinate loading/unloading and secure cargo for transport.
• Maintain dispatcher communication for status updates and delays.

Job Duties

• Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to company safety regulations
• Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition
• Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods
• Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured
• Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport
• Ensure customer delivery is met in a timely, safe and professional manner

Skills and Requirements

• Possess a Valid Class 1/AZ License is required
• Provide 5 years Commercial driving abstract
• Minimum 1 year of class 1 driving experience
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission
• Must be willing to load/unload and be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
