Canada Cartage in Balzac, AB is seeking a Class 1 Truck Driver for a night run, covering Calgary–Edmonton–Calgary round trips. This full-time role requires safe, customer-focused driving and the ability to operate reefer equipment, complete documentation, and comply with hours-of-service rules.

Join a long-standing team recognized for safety and reliability. You will start evenings between 6-8 PM, work Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri and Sat, and enjoy home daily.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles on city/regional routes.
• Complete deliveries and pickups in Calgary/Edmonton on time.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Complete required documentation including e-logs and reports.
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service and safety policies.
• Flexible schedule including overtime, weekends, or overnight runs.

Position Title: Class 1 Truck Driver (Night Run)

Location (Start Point): Balzac, AB

Delivery Area: Calgary - Edmonton – Calgary (Round trip)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift Schedule: Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sat

Start Time: Between 6-8 PM (Home everyday)

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented drivers to join our growing transportation team. This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in their work, consistently deliver high-quality service, and can operate safely and professionally in a fast-paced environment while representing the company.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across city and regional routes
• Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Calgary and Edmonton in a safe, timely, and professional manner
• Operate reefer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
• Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
• Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required

Core Requirements

• Valid Class 1 driver's license (manual transmission will be an asset)
• Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable with smartphone technology
• Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors
• Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach

Role-Specific Requirements

Class 1 Truck Driver

• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class 1 driving experience Required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
