Job summary

Canada Cartage in Kelowna, BC is seeking a part-time Class 3 driver with exceptional customer service to join our fleet. The role focuses on local deliveries within Kelowna and surrounding areas, with Saturday and Monday shifts.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, operate straight trucks including curtain side and flatbed, and coordinate loading/unloading while keeping the dispatcher updated on status and delays. A candidate with a strong team attitude and a valid license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 months up to 1 year driving experience.
• Basic reading and ability to follow directions.
• Class 3 license with air brakes.
• Moffett or forklift certification is an asset.
• Driver’s abstract issued within the last 30 days.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Positive team attitude.
• Willing to complete a criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Local deliveries within Kelowna and surrounding areas.

What you will do

• Local deliveries within Kelowna and surrounding areas
• Conduct routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition
• Straight Truck/Curtain side and flatbed
• Saturday day shift as well as opportunities for additional shifts
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured
• Maintain contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport

What You’ll Bring

• 6 months up to 1 year experience
• Basic reading, communication skills to follow direction
• Class 3 license with air brakes
• Moffett or Forklift certification is an asset
• Driver’s abstract issued within the last 30 days
