Job summary

Midland Transport Limited is seeking a professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver - Intermodal based out of Dieppe, NB. The role covers linehaul in the Maritimes with a 4 days on / 4 days off schedule (0400-1600).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class 1 driver's license with a minimum of 2 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America.
• Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.
• Familiarity with satellite systems.
• Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. with proper equipment.
• Safety conscious.

Responsibilities

• Running Linehaul in the Maritimes between the rail yards, customers, and Midland Terminals.
• Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery.
• Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment safely to avoid damage.
• Communicate efficiently with the dispatch and customers.
• Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with safety regulations and company rules.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all truck operations.
• Report any incident, accident, injury or damage promptly.

The selected candidate will be a reliable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and strong commitment to providing Superior Quality Service.

Shift: 4 days on - 4 days off (0400-1600)
