Midland Transport Limited is seeking a professional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver based in Dartmouth, with routes across the Maritimes, Ontario/Quebec and the U.S. eastern seaboard. Expect long-haul cycles starting Sundays, with safety-focused operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School or GED.
  • Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
  • Eligibility to receive a FAST card.
  • Eligibility to cross the US border.
  • Familiarity with satellite systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs with proper equipment.
  • Must be flexible to work Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends.

  • Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery.
  • Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment safely.
  • Communicate with central dispatch and customers.
  • Operate the tractor trailer following safety procedures and traffic laws.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections.

Job description

Midland Transport Limitedis currently seekingprofessional Class 1 Linehaul Truck Driver.The Driver can be based out of Dartmouth, Truro, Sydney, Kentville, and Bridgewater, NS.

As a Linehaul Driver, you'll run longhaul routes from Ontario, U.S. Eastern Seaboard, and through the Maritimes back through Ontario/Quebec. while consistently following company procedures and maintaining high safety standards.

Schedule: Run starts Sunday, takes around five days to complete.

Responsibilities
  • Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.

  • Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
  • Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
  • Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.
Qualifications
  • Education Required: High School or GED.
  • Class1 driver’s license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
