Job summary

iA is seeking a Claims Team Lead in Vancouver to guide the Claims team and support adjudication and service delivery across life and health benefits. You will mentor staff, oversee onboarding, training, and performance while partnering with internal teams to meet service standards and client commitments.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in Group Insurance with leadership experience, strong English communication, and a client-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Group Insurance, preferably within a Claims environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support team members through onboarding, training and ongoing development.
• Coordinate workflow, resource allocation and operational activities to meet service standards and productivity targets.
• Monitor claims performance, review reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and service delivery.
• Assess trends and risks, proposing solutions to support business objectives and continuous improvement.
• Resolve escalated client concerns by providing innovative solutions and using appropriate decision-making authority.
• Oversee team administration, system access, attendance, and workforce reporting.
• Collaborate with internal partners on initiatives, communications, and process enhancements.
• Provide SME support on audits, legal matters, leadership projects, and cross-functional work.
