Job summary

CGIC is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims professional for a regular full-time role in a hybrid setup (2 days in office). You will investigate coverage, negotiate complex claims, and interact with claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses to resolve cases.

The position supports coaching the team and delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in claims, a post-secondary degree, and a CIP designation; provincial licenses are a plus.

Qualifications

• Three years of claims or related business experience.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma.
• CIP designation and provincial adjuster license are assets.
• CIP designation is an asset and may be required depending on province.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and interpret coverage, negotiate and decide autonomously on complex bodily injury claims.
• Contact claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses during investigation and resolution.
• Coach, train, and provide technical support to the claims team.
• Deliver exceptional client service aligned with claims standards to lead in client engagement.

How You Will Create Impact

• Investigating, interpreting coverage, negotiating and making decisions autonomously, to resolve complex bodily injury claims.
• Contacting claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses in the investigation and resolution of claims.
• Coaching, training, and providing technical support to the claims team.

To Join Our Team

• You have three years of claims or related business experience.
• You have a post-secondary degree or diploma.
• You have a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
• You have or will attain provincial adjuster license(s) depending on the province of work.
• Currently holds or working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset.

Salary information

Expected Salary range $60,574.00 to $100,956.00 CAD

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
