Job summary

CGIC is hiring in a hybrid environment for a Bodily Injury Claims role. You will investigate and resolve complex bodily injury claims, interpreting coverage and negotiating decisions with autonomy.

The position requires strong communication and collaboration with claimants, lawyers, and witnesses, plus coaching the claims team to uphold service excellence. Ideal candidates have three years of claims experience, a post-secondary degree or diploma, and a CIP designation (or progress toward CIP).

• Post-secondary degree or diploma.
• CIP designation, or in progress.
• Provincial adjuster license(s) depending on province.

Responsibilities

• Investigating, interpreting coverage, negotiating and making decisions autonomously to resolve complex bodily injury claims.
• Contacting claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses in the investigation and resolution of claims.
• Coaching, training, and providing technical support to the claims team.
• Providing exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards.

How You Will Create Impact

To Join Our Team

• You have three years of claims or related business experience.
• You have a post-secondary degree or diploma.
• You have a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
• You have or will attain provincial adjuster license(s) depending on the province of work.
• Currently holds or working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset.

Salary information

Expected Salary range $60,574.00 to $100,956.00 CAD

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
