Job summary

CGIC is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Representative II in a hybrid role (2 days in office) to investigate, negotiate, and resolve complex BI claims. You will interact with claimants, clients, lawyers, and witnesses, delivering strong client service and contributing to our industry‑leading engagement standards.

Applicants should have about three years of claims experience and a post‑secondary degree or diploma; CIP designation is an asset, as are provincial adjuster licenses depending on

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, interpret coverage, negotiate and make decisions autonomously to resolve complex bodily injury claims.
  • Contact claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses in the investigation and resolution of claims.
  • Coach, training, and provide technical support to the claims team.
  • Provide exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards.

As a Bodily Injury Claims Representative II, you will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation and resolution of complex claims. You will contribute to our client service culture through daily interactions with clients and by implementing innovative, client-centric solutions.

How you will create impact:
  • Investigating, interpreting coverage, negotiating and making decisions autonomously, to resolve complex bodily injury claims.
  • Contacting claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses in the investigation and resolution of claims.
  • Coaching, training, and providing technical support to the claims team.
  • Providing exceptional client service in accordance with our claims service and quality standards, with the view of enabling the organization to be the industry leader in client engagement.
To join our team:
  • You have three years of claims or related business experience.
  • You have a post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • You have a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation to be considered as an asset.
  • You have direct experience in Bodily injury to be considered as an asset.
  • You have or will attain provincial adjuster license(s) depending on the province of work.
  • Currently holds or working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset.

Salary information

Expected Salary range : CAD $60,574.00 to $100,956.00 CAD

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
