Job summary

CGIC is seeking a Regular Full-Time Bodily Injury Claims professional in a hybrid role (2 days in office) to investigate and resolve complex bodily injury claims. The role involves interpreting coverage, negotiating settlements, and supporting the claims team with technical guidance.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of claims experience, a post-secondary degree, and CIP designation; provincial adjuster licenses are required or in progress. English is required; French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, interpret coverage, negotiate and decide autonomously to resolve complex bodily injury claims.
• Contact claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses during investigation and resolution.
• Coach, train and provide technical support to the claims team.
• Provide exceptional client service in line with claims standards and goals.

How You Will Create Impact

• Investigating, interpreting coverage, negotiating and making decisions autonomously, to resolve complex bodily injury claims.
• Contacting claimants, clients, lawyers and witnesses in the investigation and resolution of claims.

To Join Our Team

• You have three years of claims or related business experience.
• You have a post-secondary degree or diploma.
• You have a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
• You have or will attain provincial adjuster license(s) depending on the province of work.
• Currently holds or working towards Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset.

Salary information

Expected Salary range $60,574.00 to $100,956.00 CAD

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
