Job summary

Northbridge Financial Corporation seeks a Claims Director, Accident Benefits, to lead the claims unit, drive service quality, and implement best practices across the department. The role focuses on guiding staff, developing regional plans, and sustaining high customer satisfaction.

Hybrid work arrangement allows up to two days remote per week; base salary ranges from CAD 120,000 to CAD 160,000 annually with a Total Rewards program including benefits and wellness support.

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance focused program or related program.
  • Completed or working towards the CIP designation.
  • Minimum 10 years in property and casualty Insurance handling complex claims.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong technical skills with MS Office Suite.

  • Direct development and execution of corporate and regional business plans aligning with company objectives.

What it’s like to be a Northbridge Claims Director: As a Claims Director you will be part of a dynamic team that prides itself on having a sharp eye on detail while keeping the customer experience top of mind.

Our Accident Benefits Claims Department work hard to provide support to our clients, assisting them in getting back to normal after an accident.

Our Claims Director will direct all activities of the claim’s unit through effective leadership and training of the adjusting staff to ensure service and quality objectives are met.

The Claims Director, Accident Benefits is also responsible for supporting the development and implementation of best practices and departmental strategies in the achievement of regional goals for customer service, productivity, and quality.

Our Claims Director is committed to high standards of performance, has strong communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to bring new ideas to initiatives.

  • Providing effective leadership, coaching, and motivation to team members to ensure service and quality objectives are met
  • Directing the development and execution of the corporate and regional business plans, and ensuring strategies contribute to corporate objectives
  • Ensuring effective and efficient operation by enhancing workflow and operational procedures
  • Managing customer service standards

And you have:

  • Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance focused program or related program
  • Completed or working towards the CIP designation
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the property and casualty Insurance industry handling complex claims
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Strong technical skills with MS Office Suite
  • Ability to clearly communicate with Claimants, Brokers, and vendors

We’re committed to pay transparency and fairness.

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000, which reflects the expected base pay – not the total compensation package.

The actual base salary may vary depending on your experience, skills, and alignment with the position.
